What are the benefits
of becoming a member
As well as joining a
club filled with energetic and fun people you get
- Use of club
equipment and paddles
- Use of club house
facilities (including shower facilities)
- Insurance cover
(does not include race insurance)
Do I have to become a
member to have a go at paddling?
No not for your first
three sessions. We welcome new
comers to our club, come down and join us at one of our training
sessions. You can borrow one of our club paddles and try your hand.
After three training sessions you will be asked to join the club.
How much does
membership
cost?
Membership incorporates two payments:-
$200 payable to COCC for outrigging club
membership (includes AOCRA affiliation)
$158 payable to MBSC for social membership
at the MBSC (in return you will receive a $100 credit voucher for
purchases of food/drink over the bar and kiosk)
How is my membership
fee spent?
- Club, equipment
insurance;
- Purchase of new
equipment;
- Maintenance of existing canoes and
trailer;
- Club paddles
- Yacht club fees
- Recruitment of new
members
- Running and promoting
events

Who is AOCRA? Why do I have
to complete an AOCRA membership form?
Outrigging canoe paddling
racing is governed by the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing
Association (AOCRA). All club members must complete an AOCRA
membership forms. Any person who races in an Outrigging event must be
an AOCRA member, and pay the relevant race day fees (which covers
insurance).
Is there a Cott Outriggers uniform?
Uniforms are ordered
at the beginning of the season. Contact the secretary for more
details
